A new report has found that the military aid the U.S. is providing to Ukraine is depleting America’s own weapon stockpiles. Pentagon officials are concerned that President Biden’s aid to Ukraine’s capital Kyiv is undermining America’s own military preparedness. The report found that the administration’s actions have already depleted some types of U.S. ammunition.
It also discovered that the Pentagon is not able to replenish its arsenal quickly enough. The Defense Department has yet to offer new contracts to produce more weapons. This comes as Russia controls more than 20 percent of Ukraine’s territory. Ukrainian casualties are currently mounting.
